When challenges come one after the other, who do you turn to? In times when peace departs, where do you find comfort?
Perhaps you’ve felt overwhelmed by the circumstances within the week. There were times when you wanted to share your burdens with someone, but you couldn’t bring yourself to talk to anyone.
Psalm 62:8 invites us to trust in the Lord at all times and to pour out our hearts to Him. We have the assurance that as we draw near to the heart of God, He will draw near to us.

There is a place of quiet rest,
Near to the heart of God;
A place where sin cannot molest,
Near to the heart of God.

Refrain:
O Jesus, blest Redeemer,
Sent from the heart of God;
Hold us, who wait before Thee,
Near to the heart of God.

There is a place of comfort sweet,
Near to the heart of God;
A place where we our Savior meet,
Near to the heart of God.

There is a place of full release,
Near to the heart of God;
A place where all is joy and peace,
Near to the heart of God.
